From Susette

I guess I have to add my two cents worth to this bloggy thingy.

Yes, that's me up there with, of all things, a tiara.  Kind of hard to be a Princess in Exile if you don't have a tiara to wear.  Auntie Tessa gave it to me.  Wasn't that nice of her?  I thought it was because I'm special and then I learned she gave one to everyone.  Don't I feel foolish?  Oh well!

Celette thought it was hill....hiler....funny that I thought that but I'm too grown-up to let the little scamp's laughter get to me.  I'm much too sofis....sophistykated for that.  So there!

That foggy thingy was scary but now we're safe here...or I hope we are.  The big ones tell us we are and we gotta trust them, don't we?

That's all for now.  I'll get back to you later...I think.

From Emily

Hi!

I'm Emily, or as most people say ..."Em'ly"

I just want to say how happy I am to be here.

Or... how happy I am to be ANYWHERE after that awful fog.

I'm not really sure how I got here, but I know that almost everyone has been very sweet to me.

I don't even know why I'm here.  I don't think I'm a princess.  At least if I am, it will be a surprise to me.

Those nice princesses have offered to let me be their handmaiden.  That sounds very important, and I'm sure not everyone can be one.

I just love those tiaras that they wear.  It would be sooooo nice to have one of those.

Oh..

About me.

I was on vacation in the mountains of one the western United States, when the avalanche warning siren went off.  At the elevation on which I was, it was almost impossible to have an avalanche there.

Looking out the window, I was surprised to see......nothing.   Nothing but a thick cloud of ...purple? coming down the mountainside.

This kindly gentleman seemed to come from nowhere and..... invited me into this funny looking little car -- at least -- I think it was a car.

The two of us got into the car, and just as I closed the door on my side, he opened the one on his side and got out.  As the door closed, the car vibrated and the next thing I knew I was on a beach just outside this castle.

The banner said "Princesses In Exile"   "All Welcome."

So I went/came into the castle and here I am.

This is all so difficult for me to understand.

But I love all the new friends I've found here.

They tell me that I have to learn to speak a little louder.  The castle is rather large and I kind of get lost in it.

Princess Handmaiden Angela Speaks

Okaaaaaaaay.

Now, I like a good joke as well as the next girl, but...

this is not fun-n-n-n-n-n-ny any more.......

I mean...

Like..

..one minute I am goin down Rodeo Drive with my new Birkin, and the next....

I was ...like...not goin down Rodeo Drive...

and my Birkin was missin'!

<pause for emphasis>

So....

I...like... looked around and I couldn't see nuthin at all..

It was all pink or purple or somethun....

 no..wait......

It wasn't pink or purple...it was like...

magenta.  That's it... it wuz magenta.

Gotta know those colors when you go shoppin on Rodeo Drive.

<pause to emphasize Rodeo Drive>

Quick as a bunny, I pinched myself to see if I wuz dreamin'

OUCH!

I wuznt

Now, I'm not dumb, ya know.  I just don't see any sense in usin' energy that I dont need ta use.

But this had my little blonde roots in a tizzy.

Anyways.......

So I get here and I don't know how.  Somebody told me that Daddy made some kind of arrangements with somebody sometime so if somethun shud happen some other time I would be wisked away quick as a three-toed sloth to someplace safe.

I guess that's here, huh?

Now, what he fergot to menshun, is that I wuz supposed to be treated like the princess he always told me I am.

So I get here ...

.... and Missy Bright Crown tells me that I gotta be a Handmaiden...whatever that is.

I think it is some kinda servant or somethun.  Now, I ask you..... do I look like a servant?

I mean.... I even sat at the pop'lar table in high school.

And don't even get me started on bein the Homecoming QUEEN!

I guess I gotta play along until this whole mess can be straightened out.

Magenta was never my color.  It makes me look.... like..... gone....in this case.

<huff>

<pout>

 So, this is me, bein' easy to get along with.....kinda.

.
I didn't even get to bring my makeup, so ....

They better not ask me to do nuthin' servanty.

Anyways...

I'm  Angela, or "Angel" to my friends.

You can call me Angela.

<chortle>

Not really.

I'm Angel.
Handmaiden by Accidently Oversightedy

Daddy's gonna have to get me a new Birkin when I get back.

P.S.  Any of you handmaidens out there that wants ta come here, just whistle.  I see lots more princesses than princess handmaidens.  We need ta change the odds a little.  An th' word is out that more o that magenta fog may be headed your way.

Princess Celette Says Hello

Wow!

Like....

This is so totally kewl!

No, I'm not one of those officer thingys.  I'm just a plain ol' Princess In Exile.

That didn't sound right.

I'm a special kind of Princess In Exile.

I'm one of those itty-bitty princesses.

See?

I certainly hope that we will have a lot of fun here.  All of us need it after that terocious fog.

And for the record,  I like pouffy dresses and fairy wings and fairy dust and sparkles and !Elemental jewelry and .........

Love,

Celette

More from Princess Amanda

This was me in a happier time at Phantasia, before the fog struck.  I look pensive but, believe me, I was happy.  What's not to be happy  A princess in a pretty kingdom filled with people I admire and love?

And then came that nasty fog.  You'd have thought it was London in the eighteen hundreds.  Eeeuuww.  Never mind what it could do to the kingdom, think of what it could do to my complexion!  Thank goodness for Aunt Tess and her time traveler abilities.  She whisked us off, quick as a blink and my peaches and cream cheeks thanked her profusely, I can assure you.

Now we're settled in our little castle, snug as bugs in a rug as befits princesses.  No fog here.  No facial blemishes.  What more can a princess want?

Princess Amanda

Princess Celeste's Favorite Thingys

Well....

Hmmmm

Auntie Tessa told us we must be all decorumed and ladylike, and then she tells the world that I like fairy wings and pouffy dresses.

 As a matter of fact.. I do!  So there!

But I like other things, too.  High heels, nail polish........oh my.... gallons and gallons of nail polish, makeup, tiaras, fuzzy kittens, snowflakes that stay on my nose and ....oh.. nevermind.

These are a few of my favorite thingys....

Did Julie Andrews pop in somewhere?

And there is our website at http://www.PrincessesInExile.wix.com/introduction-page
<I know!  It's really weird!>

I do have another really favorite favorite, but I'll tell more later.

I'm being elbowed to sign off now.  I'll be baaaack!

Princess Tessa Tells All

That sure is an interesting couple of princesses!  lol.  Well, let me explain why.  Meet Princess Celeste--on the left in blue.  Celeste is my little niece, and she LOVES poofy dresses and fairy wings.  On the right in bright orange (hehe) is Princess Tessa--that's me.  Now, you never know what I will be wearing because I am a time traveler.  I know it sounds far-fetched, but I can't help it.  It's an affliction I was born with, and I've learned to make the most of it.  I am quite comfortable in a medieval dress and tiara, or in my lovely summer outfit you see here.  And often you will notice that I am a bit mismatched.  You see, I am a jeweler and when I've been working I may have on one blue earring and one red earring....you just never know.  Oh, you think it's interesting that a princess should be a jeweler?  Hey, I think that even a princess needs to be useful.  And how much more useful can you be than when you are making tiaras!

Back to the time traveling...
When I was young, I discovered that I could travel through time.  It is something that I inherited from my mother, who died when I was an infant.  At first, I thought it was a curse.  But, once I learned to control my "vacations", I found it to be quite interesting and useful.  I especially like to bring useful items from the future back to our little kingdom.  I think my favorite was the toothbrush!  Oh, and hair dye.  (King Tucker says that I change my hair more than anyone he's ever known!)  Well, it came in quite handy when our homeland, Kingdom Phantasia, was invaded by an evil fog.  When I saw it coming, I quickly snatched up little Princesses Celeste and Amanda, jumped into a portal, and we traveled to a safe island where we have made our home...in exile.

That's right, we are Princesses In Exile.  Or if you like, P.I.E.  We have a lovely, if somewhat small, castle where we live and entertain other princesses in exile.  More on that later.  For now, it's time to bring in the kitty for the night and have some sweet dreams.
